As a medium-sized company based in Aachen, Germany, we combine the agility of a close-knit team with the expertise and reliability of a seasoned technology partner. With a growing team of around 60 dedicated professionals—and counting—we foster a culture of technical excellence, creativity, and mutual respect. Our people are our greatest asset, and together we strive to push boundaries, solve complex challenges, and deliver measurable impact.
Our history
Telecommunications technology has been at the heart of cycos AG for over three decades. Our journey began in the early 1990s with software solutions for analog communication systems, quickly evolving to ISDN-based communication servers. As digital transformation accelerated, we embraced emerging technologies—integrating VoIP and SIP protocols, and eventually pioneering WebRTC-based collaboration platforms in the cloud.
For many years, cycos played a key role within Siemens Enterprise Networks, later known as Unify, contributing significantly to the development of advanced communication products, most notably Circuit—Unify’s flagship collaboration solution.
Following the acquisition of Unify by Atos, and the subsequent decision to divest Circuit, cycos entered a new chapter. Most of our team transitioned from product development to project-based work, applying their deep expertise to a broader range of client-driven initiatives. At the same time, a dedicated group within cycos continued to maintain and enhance our long-standing media server—an essential component of the Atos Emergency Services solution—ensuring reliability and excellence in mission-critical communications.

cycos within the Atos Group
Since 2016, cycos AG has been part of the Atos Group, a global leader in digital transformation. In June 2023, we became part of Eviden, Atos’ business dedicated to data-driven, secure, and sustainable innovation. Eviden brought together world-class expertise in advanced computing, cybersecurity, AI, cloud, and digital platforms—serving clients in over 53 countries and generating annual revenues of approximately €5 billion.
As part of Eviden, cycos contributed to project-based activities in software development, testing, DevOps, architecture, and consulting. However, following Atos’ corporate restructuring in 2025, cycos—along with the Application Modernization Services division—was reintegrated into the Atos Group, while Eviden retained its focus on Big Data and analytics services.
Today, cycos continues to operate within Atos, delivering high-quality software solutions and technical expertise to clients across industries. Our position within a global technology leader empowers us to combine agility with scale and tradition with innovation.
