Wupperverband – for water, people and the environment. True to this motto, everything revolves around the element water at the Wupperverband (“Wupper Association”): water quality management and water economy in the area for which the association is responsible.
People are the focal point of all its activities. The members of the association, which was set up in 1930, include local authorities, counties, water utility companies and disposal companies, as well as trade and industry in the area of the River Wupper.
